GV reportedly is skating with equipment on, but separately from other players.

That tells me he is not yet pain-free.

That could take weeks, at least.

Once the pain is gone, then serious hard training/drilling can commence,
including practices/workouts with the Kings or maybe even Ontario, as schedule permits.

As I've said before, if it is at all possible, I'd love to see GV be allowed to play a conditioning stint
in Ontario, perhaps limited to 2 weeks or so by agreement with the NHL.

It may be a couple months before we see him (?), but I am confident we will see him healthy and playing
for the rest of the season after he returns.

Would it require sign-off from the NHL, or would the OHL need to be appeased as well?

They could be as different as a broken wrist and a severed finger for all I know.
His was worse, he had major back surgery at 16

I assume he's not going back to the OHL, and the Kings would have to guarantee that, in any case.

Gabriel is now skating and practicing with the team, for the 1st time this season.

He must be pain-free if he's doing this.

He probably needs a month, or longer(?) to get up to full-speed.

We may see him by late Nov, early December, would be my guess.

I assume they will not rush him back, under any circumstances.

From Jon Rosen's Kings Insider, oct 27:
"–Gabe Vilardi (back) is slowly being integrated into practice, as had been foretold earlier in the week. He’s still sporting a red no-contact jersey and limited – this was the first time he’d ever practiced with the full LA Kings senior team – and remains out indefinitely, but this represents a positive step. “It felt good to be out there practicing,” he said. “This is my first practice. Last year I didn’t get a chance to play with the guys in training camp or anything, so it’s definitely an eye-opener, a change of pace because I was skating by myself. But there’s nothing like skating with these guys, obviously. It was definitely fun.”
