Unless the words "Tavares" or "Stamkos" are in the deal, i'm not trading Vilardi

Ha ha ha ha. NFW that deal happens. Why would any GM trade a top 6 forward who has 3 years of cost controlled salary plus likely bridge years for an aging goal scorer who is having a down year, at or beyond the age when goal scorers typically stop producing like they did in their peak years.

Vilardi, along with Clague, is the centerpiece of the next core.

This is magical thinking on Montreal's part.

    He's ours, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Lol. Montreal fans are dreaming.

The Kings will have quite the trio of 11th overall picks down the middle -- Carter, Kopitar, and Vilardi.

I hope the Kings have the good sense to hold onto the kid. The last forward who had top-3 talent but fell to number 11 was traded. We know him as all star Filip Forsberg.

Both Vilardi and Anderson-Dolan each had 1 assist in their teams' losses Wednesday night.

Cale Klague's team (Moose Jaw) won, and Clague had no points, but was +1.

Vilardi's and Clague's next games are friday night, Anderson-Dolan's is saturday.

No. No you are not! Unless you're saying Stamkos is a King when Vilardi gets called up.

He's on a 9-game point scoring streak. Since coming back from injury, he's had 36 points in 18 games, and he's still only 18 years old (he doesn't turn 19 till August).

The consensus 2nd overall pick from 2018, Andrei Svechnikov, has 48 points in 34 games. He's only seven months younger than Vilardi

In a similar vein, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, who was just a couple days shy of being eligible for THIS year's draft, has 73 points in 54 games. He's on an 8-game point scoring streak.

Can someone rename this thread something like "The Gabriel Vilardi Thread". His first game back was a while ago.
