Just draft a forward with speed that can score. That's not asking for too much, no?

I thought asking for more than 3 goals scored in a playoff series was not asking for too much, but I guess I was wrong.

Offense sounds great, but the fact is that there is a dearth of talent from top to bottom in this organization. They need as many of the best players available regardless of position.

I get more excited about forwards, mostly because I get an easier read on them. However, as you said, they need talent everywhere. As far as organizational depth, this is what they have:
    C: Vilardi, Anderson-Dolan, Amadio
    W: Kempe, Wagner, Brodzinski
    D: LaDue, Clague, Anderson
    G: Petersen, Kehler, Villalta

Center and goaltending are their best depth, but they could really use it everywhere.

As far as this draft, Dominik Bokk and Akil Thomas would be the best wingers likely around 20 if they drafted on need. But I'm still hoping for someone like Alexeyev or McIsaac.

I kinda feel like Forward in general is their weakest area of depth.

With Clague and LaDue you have 2 probable top 4 players to add to a team that needs 1 (unless they trade somebody).

Up front, you have only 1 probable top 6 forward in Vilardi, to add to a team that needs about 3.

I guess the one thing I really don't want to see them do is draft a stay at home, Left handed defenseman who is going to need 4-6 years of development.

Agreed. We need to take the best players available, even at Missionary Position, if need be.

Don't forget Austin Strand and Daniel Brickley on D.

Missionary position is too old fashioned. We need to be able to come from behind.

Indeed. Working like dogs and powerfully entering the zone from behind.

    Yep, agreed.

Blake should definitely be looking to trade up from 20. Toff, Carter, or Martinez.
