What does this open house mean? What is the purpose of this "event"?
Do they sell the season tickets a bit cheaper (promotion)?

Tour of what? This is a really hard sell. I feel sorry for the salespeople.

I believe the locker room, bench area, etc. Not 100% sure though.

Right, because selling Season Tickets is just like selling used cars.

I received a call and an e-mail from a Kings account executive a couple weeks ago, telling me about their season plans. I responded to her, trying to be as polite and constructive as possible - I was hoping to get a reply but unfortunately never did. Here's my response :

    Hi XXX -

Actually, from 2002 up until 2017, I had split season seats with a season seat holder (3 different ones over that span), taking about 10 games on average each season. At the end of the 2016-2017 season, the season seat holder I was partnered with decided not to renew, and last season was the first one in a long time that I went to less than 5 home games (ironically I saw the Kings play 6 times on the road).

I have seen season seat holder prices increase dramatically while season seat holder perks have dropped dramatically every year since 2012 (I guess that's the price you pay with 3 years of incredible success!). It seems like during that time, the Kings went through a paradigm shift, changing their priority from trying to keep their loyal season seat holders to trying to replace them with whoever would pay top dollar. I know many season seat holders who have cancelled their seats in the last few years because of that.

So as of right now I wouldn't be interested in any season seat plans - I will just buy my tickets on the secondary market. Hopefully the organization realizes that the fair weather fans it attracted from 2012 - 2014 are now fleeing almost as fast as they came on board, and that a lot of the once loyal (and now feeling alienated) season seat holders from before then are slow to return.

I hope this is all taken as constructive criticism - I mean no disrespect towards the Kings, I'm just a little frustrated at some of their recent decisions affecting season seat holders. Hopefully things return to the way they were soon, in which case I might be interested in season seats.

    Sincerely,
    XXX

Got the old email survey today......

Told 'em I've taken my live sports ticket buying money to the Galaxy and other teams.
Why? ....because Kings games are HORRIBLE to watch live due to the corporate circus sponsorship event it has become.

Kings games used to be the ABSOLUTE best live sporting event you could attend. Not anymore.
The respect for the diehard fan has gone. The organization (with Luc running the cash register) cares only about siphoning off as much coin as possible from the fan.
Corporate sales/sponsorships are far and away more important than the fan experience.
Attending live Kings games are an embarrassment.

It's sad to see how bad things have really come.

That's also not to say anything about the era of mediocrity that the team has been in for 4 seasons now, and will be for many more.
The team's situation is a whole other thing entirely.

I got that survey - gave them the same advice for the Millionth time - PLUS told them to take down that stupid Taylor Swift banner.

It was my worst survey ever sent back.

    I'm awaiting Luc's call...
