Default Kudos to the Washington Capitals

Their 1st Stanley Cup in their history, they finished with a superior run and beat an "expansion" team with a clueless fan-base. Their fan base is excited, energetic, creates an amazing atmosphere.

Washington Capitals appear to be a classy organization with a bright future. Gotta give credit where it's due!

Also, this is awesome because it will probably silence the pollyanna troll, who I imagine is crying into his Shirley Temple at mommy's house, and stop his lies and false accusations about how if you don't agree 100% with him (or her) you must be a hater or sore loser.

I hope he doesn't die of the shame, because if he does, I shall dance on his grave.

Congrats to the Caps on this great accomplishment for a solid NHL franchise. Would have really hated to see a team with 44 years of league history squander it's best chance to win a Cup and be beaten by an expansion team. Just wouldn't have been right.

I also hope this year was not a flash in the pan for Vegas. The success they displayed is good for the league in the long run. And building a real fan base takes time and commitment.

Heartfelt Congratulations to the Capitals and their long-suffering fans. Even in the past 10 years or so, they've suffered a lot. As Kings fans, we can relate to having to wait a long time for a Cup. So happy for that team, for Ovi, their fans, and that city. They deserved this championship through and through.

The embrace of Ovi and Backstrom was wonderful, I had a big smile on my face.

I bought some. And saw my hometown team win the Cup. And got a ton of pictures from rink side. And got a picture with Jagr after the game.

I probably paid 8x what my wife did when she went to Vegas last year. But I saw about 100x the game.

I'm now 3 for 3 in Cup winning games.

I always get a little emotional when I see those guys skate around with the Cup regardless of who wins. You know that they must be thinking back on all those days of getting up out of the nice warm bed at some ungodly hour when it is very cold and still dark outside and there is snow on the ground. Walking into that cold, cold rink and going into that freezing locker room to put on equipment still wet from last time. Nothing to muffle the echo of skates, sticks on the ice and coaches yelling bouncing off the walls and glass in an empty rink. Days and weeks and months and years. Sweden, Finland, Russia, Canada, doesn't matter. They all share that experience and that long, long, hard road.
