    I wasn't a fan of Kupari pick yesterday. I like this pick a lot. Also like the Sodergran pick. So credit to Kings on day 2, I liked what I saw.

    A web site has several shift by shift videos, particularly on European players. Here are a couple of Shafigullin.

    Definitely has inconsistent effort on the backcheck, but seems to amp his intensity on the PK.

    I would think the backcheck issue is a coachable one.

    For sure. I wasn't trying to imply otherwise if it came off that way.

    If he can kill penalties, then learning to maintain consistent energy on the backcheck isn't unreasonable. It was just the thing that stuck out to me the most.

    What I do like from what I've seen is he hasn't tried to do too much.
