Kings, Sharks, Avs, Knights, Jets, Hawks, Blues, Preds all make the playoffs.

Chicago is borderline with a lot riding on whether Crawford stays healthy. They're in serious need of a quality backup goalie.

St. Louis has made the greatest strides and should make it, no problem.

Dallas has improved but not enough to get in. Same with Vancouver as they begin rebuilding in the post-Sedin era.

The Kings get in, probably a lower seed, but could worry us if they get hit with injuries to key players. Of course, that's the case for nearly every team.

In Anaheim, Getzlaf and Perry are another year older and the Ducks' goaltending is questionable. Not sure what their front office is trying to do.

Calgary, Edmonton and Arizona all made improvements but not enough to get in. If Chicago falters, one of these three teams will replace them.

Vegas is the wild card in all this. Now that they're established, everyone knows what to expect and coaches will have a better idea how to match them. They still make the playoffs but no way do they run away with the division title this year.

Winipeg should make it. The loss of Stastny is significant but he was a rental last year anyway so that shouldn't matter. If Hellebuyck shows that he was worth the big contract then they should get in with room to spare.

Also, they will need Fleury to have another near mythical season, and what are the chances of that Also, drafting 30th this year will stunt the growth of their organization.

To be fair they got a mythical season from everyone that was in net for them the first half of the season. Fleury just took that same structure and showed what a near elite goalie could do with it. Regression to the mean candidate for sure.
