Barring injury I see: LA, CHI, SJ, EDM, LV, NSH, WPG, DAL

On the edge: STL, ANA, COL, MIN

    No way: ARI, CAL, VAN

It's hard to pick. You'd think ARI has a chance considering their last half of the season. Also the improvements in STL and DAL you'd think give them a shot. However, I don't see STL being anymore than just a "quick fix"...you know...kind of what they've been doing for 45 years. Some things never change. Same with DAL. Then there is EDM: Who knows with these guys? If they had fired McLellan then I'd think they have a better chance but...I dunno. Then there's COL...they could replace CHI on the list...they have a better chance than ANA though.

I'd probably pick WPG to make the finals though....

Pretty sure my locks would be
    Nash
    Winnipeg
    San Jose

    Jumbled in there
    Los Angeles
    Calgary
    Edmonton
    Dallas
    Minny

    Bubbles in maybe
    St Louis

    Out
    Vegas
    Anaheim
    Vancouver
    Arizona
    Colorado
    Chicago

Hard for me to count out Vegas given they just played in the cup final. They will be a different team next year...but different enough to make that much of a negative difference? Not sure. Maybe they come down to earth, maybe other teams finally figure them out.

There's going to be a lot of teams gunning for them next season. Gallant is a good coach but he also had some rough times under the scrutiny of expectations. They seem ripe.

I wouldn't count out Chi now since it sounds like Panarin will be back with them. That will be a huge boost for them.

One thing about the bread man, he made Patrick Kane better. Not many players can do that

I can't say which teams won't make the playoffs but I will go out on a limb and say that 7 Western Conference teams wont make the playoffs.

MAKE: Colorado, SJ, Kings, Vegas, Nashville, St. Louis, Winnipeg, Dallas

Bonus: I predict none of Arizona, Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver will make the playoffs for another 2 years.
