Damn, Seattle got the jump on us. And yes...I do long for a decent power play! BTW, I looked up Tippett and it didn't say he was working alongside the Seattle franchise, so boo to wikipedia and kudos to you sir.

I'm unhappy with Stevens choice of players and positions. Kovalchuk scored a goal last game but were on the ice was he....left side, his natural position. Stevens has him line up right wing with Kopi and a rooki.
Beginning of last season we got a healthy Gabby back only to be playing on the forth line with a rooki on the first.
Why is Clifford even in the locker room.

Can't wait to see what he does with Vilardi and Brodzinshi.

Here is an article about Tippett's involvement with the new Seattle franchise posted three months ago. It's a good read.

Unless they are out of it by mid season, I think he'll stay.

Yea, that trip to the Western Conference finals for the Yotes was a whole lotta of nothing, eh?
Lest we forget, for 4 YEARS the team was run by the NHL....it did not have an owner.
Tippett did pretty darn well considering the hand he was dealt.

Oh and that Jack Adams Award he won is not much either.

Just watch how Tippet creates magic in Seattle.

As long as they are in the playoff mix, management won't change anything.

As far as they're concerned, they have the core players capable of winning another Cup, and all they have to do is make it into the playoffs and they at least have a chance of winning it all in a crapshoot.

And as long as the playoffs are a possibility, they hold on to their sponsors and can spin a story to fans based on "believing."

Besides, they'll be debuting a new 3rd jersey later this season. My guess would be around Thanksgiving or just after. So they'll have that distraction (and money grab), too.

Oh my... the Kings are now machines! They looked invincible taking apart the habs. 5 points in 4 games and I can smell the cup.
