Sean O'Donnell no longer paired with Patrick O’Neal

From "LA Kings Insider" I saw that Sean O’Donnell has taken on a more full-time role in player development and will not be on this year’s home broadcasts. Jarret Stoll is, ehh, barely OK but doesn't have the same charisma and chemistry with O'Neal as O'Donnell did.

Personally, I will miss O'Donnell on the home game intermission segments with Patrick O'Neal.

Ah man! I really liked Sean’s frankness and think he’s a natural communicator. I’m sure it’s more enriching to work in player developement than doing TV chit chat, but I’ll miss him too.

I also miss OD. He has that grit factor that you just don't really see anymore. Stollie is starting to settle in nicely, you can really tell he misses playing and being around the lockeroom when they have the players on after the game.

I've been a huge fan of OD since his days of playing that great defensive position he had with the Kings. Back then, announcers always chose him to interview because he had such great insight into the team and also had such a great speaking voice. I even remember back when he got married over in Riverside at the Mission Inn. He was always right there to take care of business if any of the players were mistreated out there on the ice. I was so sorry when he was traded away. Then so glad to see him come back. I don't think anyone could take his place on that mic with O'Neal. But someone has to. crying:
