Like I mentioned in previous thread, no need for him to be playing this year. Rest for the entire year and comeback healthy at training camp in 2019

I think I said that last year.

I think we will say it next year as well.

He's practicing today per Rosen on Twitter. Gray jersey, just like everyone else so appears he's good for contact...at least in practice.

Except he's not playing in the NHL because he isn't healthy, and that's due to him not taking care of his body over the summer.

Again, I'm just here to stress that they're a Prospect until they aren't. For every deadline deal that nets Jarome Iginla for Joe Nieuwendyk, there are 10 trades that get returns for players like Jared Aulin and Craig Johnson.

**** that. If the year is shot anyway, all the more reason to get them experience in a down year. The return to being competitive is sooner.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

^^ I'd rather he play for Willie than Stevens that's for sure.

So who is more valuable: Gabriel Vilardi or Nate Thompson?

    They're a finesse team.

Depends on the role. You want Vilardi playing 9 minutes a night? Because that's what Thompson is playing.
