With THIS color scheme...make that police cars and you'd be more accurate... All they're missing is the siren and flashing lights on the helmet...

For what it's worth, i don't think Lombardi or Sutter we're held on for too long. They were given the appropriate amount of time to fix things, and deservedly so. Lombardi obviously made some mistakes, but he earned the right to make those mistakes. And sutter seems to be the only coach that has ever lit a fire under this team. He may have worn out his welcome, but he earned his respect and his chance to stay as well.

Blake either has failed to determine an identity for the team or he has failed to make the appropriate moves to bring in the players to match that identity.

Beckerman and Luc picked the wrong guy.
He’s the wrong guy if you are looking for an experienced GM to bring the Kings back to greatness and a rebuild.

However he’s exactly what Beckerman ordered: A guy that can sell the fans on the team being almost contenders and just a piece away. Beckerman is interested in profit not championships. Blake’s job is to keep the fans hopeful and to have them continue to open their wallets.

For those those that have figured it out, nice to save some money on not going to games or spend quality time fishing or other endeavors.

After last season's playoffs embarrassment, I vowed not to renew my NHL Center Ice subscription if Stevens came back. I really made the right call there, and am thinking maybe it wasn't all Stevens' fault. This franchise is a disaster right now. It's a shame, really, what with the Kings having arguably the best D-Man in the league with Doughty (is he regretting his decision to stay now?) and one of the best forwards with Kopitar. I place a lot of blame on Lombardi, who went pretty much all in after that first championship, and continued to award ridiculous contracts. Blake is having a very difficult time trying to recover from all of that, but he is obviously in over his head. Bad decision making him the GM, and it's time to let him go. Not sure what would save the franchise at this point short of new ownership (looking at the Dodgers ownership group).

Just as an update to this as a whole AEG thing:

AEG Announces New Partnership with Dignity Health, Renames LA Galaxy Home Stadium Dignity Health Sports Park

Dignity Health, one of the nation’s largest health care systems, has partnered with AEG and effective Jan. 1, 2019, the official home of the five-time Major League Soccer Cup champions LA Galaxy, will be renamed Dignity Health Sports Park (DHSP).

Anyone know when the Staples naming rights expire?

Back in 2009, Staples and AEG signed a lifetime naming rights agreement:

What is this thing called "color" you speak of? I have no idea what that is.

The negotiations for the new "partner" (aka wallet) have already begun...

Both dignity and health are in short supply downtown.
