Default What should this mean for Pete Rose?

Just curious what everyone else thinks about Baseball being the latest sport to embrace gambling. With the potential profit every team could see from this, I think it would be hypocritical of Manfred to not reinstate Pete Rose at this point and let him in the Hall finally.

I don't see where the "hypocrisy" lies with Pete Rose and MLB's move to partner with MGM on gambling.

Pete Rose was banned for life after betting on baseball as a player and manager.

That is a significant conflict of interest if there ever was one.

IMHO Pete did not get banned for "gambling" per se, he was banned for what he did to the integrity of the sport as a player and manager.

Now as for Pete Rose allowed into the Hall on his merits as a player & manager, that's a whole other issue.

But I see ZERO hypocrisy on the side of MLB when it comes to an agreement with MGM for rights as it pertains to gambling on the sport.
To me it has nothing to do with Pete Rose and the mess he made.
