    Default It's International Clash Day!!!

    International Clash Day

I know some may thinking "why is this not on the punk or alt-music thread?" But the Clash are bloody legendary. Heard a report that over 60 radio stations in 12 countries played Clash sets today. KCRW played a set and it was awesome. Also that the City Of Los Angeles officially declared International Clash day as well.

I was little kid when they started but they hooked me from the get go. Never saw the Clash but I did see Joe Strummer play and he put on a great show. Sadly, a few months after I saw Strummer play and hearing rumors of the Clash reuniting he passed away.

So here are a few of my favorites from them....

I can go forever with their vids but don't want to do too much. If you lads and lasses want to post some of your favs go for it.

Sorry, gotta put a few more tunes up....

What was awesome about the Clash and very unique was that they two lead singers, Strummer and Jones. Both were awesome. Joe with the tough voice and Mick with the relaxed almost pop voice. Plus, on some albums songs that were punk and then songs with a raggae sound. So bloody cool!

BTW, bought a new Clash shirt today to honor them and their International Day, wearing it now.
