Well....Sharks are 3rd in the Pacific and beat LA every time they played them this year and finally LA is dead last in the conference, so I would say the Kings are in a much worse shape. Much worse...like...bad

The Sharts front office should've been dismantled years ago.

Their stats are nearly identical with Jones playing for a much better team right now.

Edit: That's also with Quick having a terrible start to the season and turning it around as of late.

Again, Quick and Jones have nearly identical stats this year with Jones being on a much better team and Quick having the start to the season that he did. Bernier? He's been on five teams and hasn't been able to win a starting job over such iconic goalies such as Drew MacIntyre, James Reimer, John Gibson, Justin Tokarski, Jimmy Howard, Kaden Fulcher, and Eric Comrie. Also, his stats this season are identical to the other two.

Sharks are in 6th in the division and fired their entire coaching staff yesterday. They have a crappier goal differential than the Kings right now. Pronman ranks them as the #25 for their U23 core (Kings are #24 ) and #20 for farm system (Kings are #4 with Vilardi downgraded due to injury concerns). And Ottawa has the Sharks pick this year so no first rounder. They will have a second, two 5ths, and two 7ths. The Sharks are where the Kings were 3 years ago-- capped out, no top prospects, and no picks.

You forgot one other key difference: no cups.

Just for fun, go look at Brent Burns' plus/minus 35 games into the season.

LOL. I bet Kevin Lebanc is happy he signed that 1 year, $1M deal to help the team through their cap crunch. His minus-18 definitely says give me generous bridge deal.
