I was thinking maybe a rhd like David Savard in cbus, although maybe Brayden Coburn becomes an excellent mentor type when Tampa needs to reup cernak.

Until the Kings make some real hard choices in ridding themselves of the high overpriced core players, they are not going anywhere.

A Bermuda Triangle defense partnered with a goaltender well past his prime. Forbort, MacD, LaDue...all Phaneuf Ver2 large, slow dmen unable to keep pace with today's NHL. Walker started well, at one point the only dman on the positive side of +/-, but has slowly regressed into the Bermuda Triangle. There is still hope for Walker & Hutton as they at least have the pace, but those other guys are destined to remain pylons. Roy is a -1 which on this team should merit player of the year. Even Doughty and Martinez seem to have become ordinary. To make matters worse, the offense is too often one of these same fellows taking a 50ft point shot my daughter could save.

Quick is doing the best he can I believe, but his age and diminished skills are not nearly good enough to compensate for the lost souls skating around the Kings defensive end. Peterson appears to have the skills to help a bad defense, but he will have his hands full.
