The lottery won't be taking place tomorrow, as the season must conclude first. Lottery odds are dependent upon final standings, which cannot be ascertained without conclusion of the season.

    Oh yeah, that makes sense.

Many of them have them selecting Drysdale which is what I figured as well. Mock 9 is nice as well where we get the first pick.

It took me 7 tries with the simulator to get the Kings to #1

Also our odds may increase as The Mayor posted there is talk of rolling back the standings a couple of days and that would put the Kings at #3

    In the 2nd round, I like D-Men
    Braden Schneider(RHD) and Joni Jurmo(LHD) .

Love to get 'em BOTH, if we fail to get Drysdale with the 1st.

If we get shafted in the lottery again, I'd still be VERY happy with
    our 1st-three picks being:
Holtz (or Raymond), Schneider and Jurmo.

But if we draft high enough, Drysdale and Jurmo would put the finishing touches on our D
for the next bunch of years, even if we miss out on a top-level FW prospect.

    INFO on those guys ----

I just saw Wheeler's top 100 on The Athletic today. https://theathletic.com/1736440/2020...100-prospects/

The good news IMO is Drysdale is 8th. And the worst the Kings can pick is 7th. I'm not saying we get him (since he's the highest rated defenseman) but at least there seems to be good value at least through 7 or 8. At least we aren't getting hosed if we don't win the lottery. [Watch, now we'll probably move up to #3 and take a guy picked 7 or 8... Kings luck!]

Take the best player available. We're in no place as an organization to be targeting position. Don't reach.

If/When Kings don’t win the first overall, is it better for Ottawa to win ? Once Ottawa wins the first overall they are not eligible for 2nd and 3rd overall drawing . Won’t that increase Kings chances for 2nd and 3rd overall ?

I don't follow this. Where does it say Ottawa can't get the 2nd or 3rd overall pick if they get the first pick? They own San Jose's pick so I don't see how they can be ineligible for anything. Due to this extra pick of theirs they are the ONLY team (sans any trades before the draft) that can have two picks in the top 3...maybe even 1 and 2.

I agree, with you jom as in this case the winning teams would technically be Ottawa and San Jose, with the San Jose pick then going to Ottawa.

I think the below except is being misinterpreted leading to confusion (as it is not very clearly stated)

"After the First Draw, the winning team (from either the #1-7 group or the #8-15 group) will no longer be eligible for the Second or Third Draws. All number combinations originally assigned to this team will become “Re-Draw Combinations” for the Second and Third Draws. The remaining teams’ odds will increase on a proportionate basis for the Second Draw based on which team wins the First Draw."
