I had the pleasure of meeting with this photographer yesterday at work and thought I'd share his site with you guys. Click on the athletes and projects sections. A few years ago Kevin was the only photographer given an all-access pass to the just starting UFC and was there to witness and capture its overnight success. It was all documented in a gigantic (it seemed like it was about 18"X24") 400-page book that weighs at least 50 lbs. Huge, gigantic pages of photos of everything UFC. Before and after shots of the fighters, injuries, behind the scenes, etc. While all other photogs were in the media section, for 4 years he was the only one who was allowed ON the octagon, so the images he captured are quite extraordinary. If you're a fan of the sport, chances are you HAVE seen his work.

Need some love on Oct. 19th! UFC 166 will be the debut of a local fighter I know to be a good dude. Darrel "The Mongoose" Montague.
He'll be fighting Dodson in the flyweight division.
John Dodson to fight Darrell Montague at UFC 166 oct Oct. 19 - ESPN
Hope he wins

GSP after Hendricks used his face for target practice last night, what a joke that decision was.

I agree. There is no way GSP won 3 rounds last night, Hendricks was robbed. Dana White has always said, "don't leave it in the hands of the judges". I wish Hendricks could have finished the fight via KO so there wouldn't be any doubt about who won.

Appearances aren't everything. I was following the judges tally real-time. Throughout the fight, GSP had more strikes landed, though Hendricks held a big advantage on significant strikes....until half way through the 3rd.
After that, GSP started landing significant at a 60% clip while Hendricks dropped down to 40%, and GSP was still throwing enough overall to hold a lead in total strikes.
Neither really had an advantage in takedowns. I thibk GSP was 0/1 and Hendricks was maybey 1/4.
GSP had a submission attempt and Hendricks 0.
Score card says GSP takes it. ..and pretty definitively.

On that note...Hendricks did, up until the middle of the 3rd, hold a HUGE advantage in significant strikes landed. He just dropped off.
Conditioning maybe? GSP is down for the 5 round...

I thought Hendricks took rounds 2 and 4, GSP 3 and 5.
Round 1 was up for grabs, and GSP is probably going to get the benefit of the doubt in a close round. I noted it as a draw.
Obviously, no doubt that Hendricks overpowered GSP. If the bout is scored Pride Fighting style, Hendricks likely wins, but scored round-by-round, it's a close fight.
