I'm Wazzu's biggest fan on Saturday.

There's something wrong with the world as I understand it when:
1) UCLA has hotter cheerleaders than USC.
2) USC has a better basketball team than UCLA.
This is the first game I've watched from the start in a few weeks. I'm reluctant to finish watching. I'd heard/read that things had changed over the last couple weeks, maybe. But I still see the same problems. Collison surrendering the point to Holiday for stretches reeks of what I was saying earlier this year. I still see Dragovic as a liability, I'm still waiting for senior "leaders" Shipp and Collison to show up. It's a bad sign when a Howland team's starters can't play D in a tournament and have to go to freshmen as defensive subs.
This is March Sadness.

UCLA shoots 5-27 from 3pt. land. (And yet, in the final minute when down by 6-8 pts, our guys are shooting 2-pt. shots... and missing)
USC shoots 16-30 from FT and still wins.
Embarrassing. I was hoping for a 3-seed in the West if we won the P10 tourney but I'm thinking we're a 5-seed elsewhere now.

UCLA is #6 in the East. I don't get why we aren't in Illinois' spot in Portland as the #5 seed in the South.
If we escape VCU in the first round, I'm heading up to Philly for the Nova game.

I was basically courtside for the pac 10 tournament. You're right about UCLA cheerleaders being better looking. It wasn't even a race, UCLA is the best.

'Nova is going to be a challenge because we're in their backyard, but I like the 6 a lot better than the 4 or 5. I know we can't beat a 1 until we get something to spark, and the Pac10 tourney wasn't that spark. Maybe 'Nova can provide it.

I would agree with you about the 6 vs. 4/5 if it didn't mean we had to travel to the east coast, especially considering we're basically playing a road game. The Wachovia Center is Nova's home court a few times a year. (IIRC the rule is that a team can only play home games at a site three times during the regular season, because the fourth time disqualifies them from playing there in the tournament.)

That was easy. Next in 'Nova. I say we win by 1 point again, just for ****s and giggles.

Nova is only favored by 1.5. Heading up to Philly tomorrow morning.

I don't know much about 'Nova this year, but I take this to mean that they suck horribly.

Matchups. They're guard-oriented like we are. Kenpom actually has us rated over them.
