What's it been like? Do they limit the number of customers? Does the staff wear masks & gloves? Do the customers wear masks when they're not eating? And for anyone who's been to a buffet, how does that work? Does the staff serve up the food to the customers? I can't imagine they still let everyone touch the utensils with their grubby hands. But I also wonder if people don't like the fact that they can't pile mountains of food on their plates.

I haven't eaten out yet. I've been to drive throughs & done curbside pickups. But when they started opening & everyone was getting all excited I figured I'd wait a while longer to see how things go. And with new cases hitting record numbers this week I don't expect to go out too soon.

In answer to your question, mostly no. I still do mostly take out. I have eaten outside a couple of times "dining in", and that's worked out pretty well.

Buffets are not allowed as far as I know. Hence why Souplantation closed down forever. I have eaten inside at the Porter Ranch In & Out. They have every other table blocked off. People wear masks except when eating. No "get your own soda" allowed. It was only me and one other table eating inside. Drive thru was packed. A few people coming inside to get to-go orders. No one was walking around disinfecting tables or anything, though.

I have been working a "day job" with the public since May 12th so I wasn't worried about eating inside of there. I have come to realize that many human beings are just disgusting. Leaving their used gloves and even masks in the carts, or not giving one thought to even attempt social distancing. And don't get me started on the "mask protestors". I have to wear a mask for 9 hours a day, buddy --- you can wear one for the 20-30 minutes you are gonna be in this store!!!

I've seen Golden Corral with a sign saying they're open. But that was driving by on the freeway so I'm not sure how they pull it off. I didn't know about Souplantation. And even though the casino I work at is partially opened, the buffet is still closed, along with my outlet.

You're a better person than me for being able to work with the public. People can be a-holes under normal circumstances. But with this pandemic those anti-mask idiots put people's lives in danger. I want to fight the few people I encounter not wearing a mask. I don't know how I'd deal every single day. Stores used to be really good at first. They limited the number of shoppers, they had one way aisles, they kept the people in checkout lines 6 feet apart, and they made people wear masks inside. But a lot of places stopped doing that stuff. Most people do wear masks but there's always a few that don't & stores don't do anything about it. There was even one store I went to where some of the workers didn't wear masks. I asked why & they said their company told them if masks weren't mandatory they didn't have to wear them. And Riverside County at the time rescinded their mask order. So a bunch of workers didn't wear masks & I left. Since then the Governor did his mask order but I don't know if I'll ever go back to that store or any in that chain. Yes, a big fault lies with our terrible local government. But they can look up infection & death rates in the area. It's totally irresponsible of them to not have a company wide order. They put their customers & worker at risk. And they're supposed to be employee owned.

In short, everyone needs to wear masks in public. Just like you'd wear shoes & a shirt. Or like you'd wear a skirt or pants & not have your privates showing.

Until there is a vaccine, I am not going to eat inside a restaurant. I don't want to be stationary inside any enclosed space for an extended period of time.

Seeing all the idiots who refuse to wear masks in public just reinforces that decision.
