Galaxy pulled off a 4-2 victory after being down 1-2 with about 15 minutes to play. Dos Santos and Zardes subbed in for Magee and Gordon and really sparked the offense. It helped that Sigi didn't even bring many from the first squad. Neither did the Galaxy, really, but they are very, very deep this season, which is great.
They advance to the US Open Cup semi-finals, which is great. What was not great was Leonardo, who was brutally awful in this game. I think it was just the previous round of the Open Cup where he had what I thought was his best performance ever for the Galaxy. I thought maybe he had turned a corner, but tonight seemed like he kept turning that corner until it was a u-turn.
Regardless, Gio, Zardes, Lletget, De Jong, Husidic all looked great, and it's nice to see the Galaxy make a deep run in this tournament for a change.

Ema Boateng showed some impressive speed yesterday in the Galaxy victory over RSL.
Also was surprised to see Landon get the start after going the full 90 on Sunday.

I guess when Keane, Gerrard et al are injured, you can rely on someone like Donovan.
Boateng surely made up for the soft penalty. Very nice goals.
But ain't no way he's going to have space like that against Colorado.
