Gotta say it's great having a coach on the sideline that knows how to coach, and actually is tactically aware.
Vanney is using his players to play to their strengths. Remarkable, really.

I think we know the good stuff, so I'll skip and go straight to the bad/needs improvement:

The defense.....I know RBNY plays the press to make the D make mistakes, but our back line is still sketchy at best. - Worried about Seattle and LAFC
Aruajo had a poor game. Need more from him.
Jona still did not look anywhere near his best.
Saldana plays like a first time MLS kid.

Bring on Cabral, and Williams.....let's see how this roster really plays when everyone is on the pitch.

Top of the league feels good!
I had to gloat profusely this week to a couple LAFC and Sounder fan friends of mine while I still can, considering we're top of the west! ha.

I thought the same thing. Great for Chicharito, but defense still sketchy. Those two aforementioned teams will have plenty of opportunities. Speaking of Chicharito, I always thought of him as someone who could get to the right place at the right time, and finish when necessary. But he wasn't going to break open and always create chances on his own. He's showing up. Let's hope it continues as teams more forcefully double him.

Very excited to see what the new boys can bring.

I guess we can see him against Austin.

They are really playing as a team that has heart. Vanney has them playing tactically.

When all the pieces are in place in a month or so......oh boy!........I can't wait.

Yeah I gotta say, Chicarito was completely gassed by the end of the game saturday. I mean to the point where he could've made runs to waste time but had to just kick the ball forward. That tells me (a) he's out of shape, or (b) he was working HARD. I'm going to say more of b.

The G's two goals were poetry in motion.

^^ Last year I would have gone with "A"

    This year, I agree...it's "B".

Last season I was all onboard the Javier HATE TRAIN. This season, this guy has truly made some significant changes in his personal and professional life. He is proving me wrong.....and I love it!
Pass me another plate of crow!
