    Default Jersey question

    Hey guys
My wife is getting a name on one of my Kings jerseys for my birthday. I have a question about the 67-68 jerseys. Did Robitaille ever wear this jersey? I have the T-shirt with that emblem and Luc's name on it (and the C for some reason - thought he was only C in 93?). And in thinking of players to get, I wouldn't mind a Luc one, but I think in the 80's, pre-Gretzky they didn't wear throwback jerseys and as a result, the 67-68 jersey (technically) shouldn't have Robitaille on it, correct?

They never wore throwbacks in the 80's and the 90's. Certainly not the original jerseys. I forget the first year they wore those originals as throwbacks.

Thanks, thought so. I'm thinking 201o-ish is when it started?

    Wayne Rutledge #1

Posted a winning record of 21-15-5 for the Kings in 1967, playing without a mask. However, as you can see there were no names on the sweaters.

Is that Gordie Howe....with a Grade A chance? Going tweeners?

Hmm...are you open to suggestions, why not go obscure and get a Larry Playfair? Stay with me (i know it's YOUR birthday) but "what if" that purchase reminds management that trading with the Sabres is an option (no -good-reason but you get me) because I'm convinced Lucky gets a spreadsheet each week of jerseys sold (Carter's numbers must have dipped too low) and that one anomaly would plant a (destructive/entertaining) seed.

    [sorry, slow day... carry on]

By that logic - maybe I just go for broke and get McDavid?

And no need for apologies. I've made two "slow day" threads today.

Fair. Welp, it seems like your wife would have to follow a couple of strains of abstract to make that Kings' McDavid jersey work for your birthday but I have faith in her. Lucky is a solid choice for a 90's player as is a Gallagher brother for an avatar. Cheers!

    Happy bday dude.

There's the 1980's jerseys that Luc wore in his rookie and sophomore seasons, but no, Luc did not wear either the 1997 throwbacks or the more recent ones worn from 2010-2017.
