In the first of three games to be played this weekend by LA’s promising group of prospects, they defeated the Colorado Avalanche 4-0, via rather dominating fashion.
Martin Chromiak — by far, the guy with the most buzz on him coming out of Development Camp last month — opened the scoring about a minute in, after he was set up by Quinton Byfield and Arthur Kalieyev.

Later, with just one second remaining in the opening frame, Sammy Fagemo converted a pass from Sean Durzi to put the Kings up 2-0.
A Byfield goal would eventually put LA on top 3-0 and the Kings were in firm control.
Things became really wonky in the third period. Durzi took a double minor for high-sticking. However, not long into the four-minute power play, it all went sideways.
Now the Kings take a penalty. It's 3-on-3.
This is a CRAZY couple of minutes.

Just after all of that concluded, Tyler Madden buried LA’s fourth goal of the night to put the proverbial dagger into Colorado.

Great way for LA to start the 2021 #RookieFaceoff — they dominated a very good Avs team.
