so nice to see Durzi and Roy not playing with each other. Would be much nicer to see Roy not playing at all.
Hi!
Tonight's fun facts: Kings have earned 4 out of 6 points on this homestand and have 6 out of a possible 8 points in their last 4 games.
Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the first december goal would be scored by Kopitar and/or that the final tally of the nights game would include 8 goals:
Both (2 points):
SirJW
notbob
Kopitar (1 point):
Rusty
empire
JETS GARAGE
hihocarp
beady eye
LeftyKing
pray4mojo
DRGinLBC
hornman
8 goals (1 point) :
bill hicks
randdog
liz4la
A win is a win, Todd seems to think that was better. Aside from the terrible luck on Edlers goal I thought they limited chances reasonably well. The shorty sucked but was super glad to see them come right back and take advantage of the open space instead of going methodically through a program. Points are points and 4 of 6 on this homestand is winning hockey so far. Let's hope they close it out with 6 of 8. While the team has played more games than basically everyone, remember they are still in third in the pacific by points percentage. They are tracking to a 92-94 point season a quarter of the way through which honestly was right on the predictions. For everything that's gone wrong to this point, it sure feels like they have ample room to improve their position.

Pretty surreal to see the Kings stay in the top 10 goal scored this deep into the season. If they can ever clean up their goals against this team could be fun to watch in the playoffs.
How great was it to see Kopi pot 2 goals! The closeups on his face after each goal showed so much emotion. Hope that last night's success jumpstarts his season. He sure looked more engaged last night.
In fact, that whole line looked great. And, as a bonus, Kempe is playing the best defensive, physical hockey of his career. Maybe 22-11-9 actually will work...
