The LA Kings and the National Hockey League today announced the club's 82-game 2021-22 NHL regular season schedule which will include full capacity for Kings games at STAPLES Center.

The Kings begin the season at home versus the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, October 14, at STAPLES Center. Tickets for the home opener along with a 3-game mini plan including the home opener and prime matchups versus Montreal and Toronto are on sale today at 4 p.m. Remaining regular season home games will be on sale to the general public on August 12 after exclusive presales earlier that week.

The Kings-Vegas season opener on October 14 kicks off a two-game homestand that concludes with a game against the Minnesota Wild on October 16. The Kings then embark on their first road trip of the year, a four-game set that begins on October 19 at Nashville.

Schedule highlights:

The Kings first play the rival Anaheim Ducks on November 30 at STAPLES Center, the first of four contests against Anaheim.
The Kings play the Seattle Kraken for the first time on January 15 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. The Kraken visit Los Angeles for the first time on March 26.
The Kings play the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning twice - at Tampa on December 14 and at home on January 18.
Seven of the club's first 11 games are at STAPLES Center.
The Kings will enjoy two seven-game homestands this season (November 17-December 2 and December 28-January 13).

Thanks Rogie.

So by the time we see the Kraken at Staples, they'll either be really good (like Vegas) or really bad (like we wanted Vegas to be).

The playing the cup champs twice is a weird thing for them to highlight considering the schedule has changed now where we'll see an Eastern Conference opponent at least twice (1 home/1 away) just like the NBA.

I don't quite follow this...that has been the way things are scheduled against the East for years now....sans the Covid seasons of course.

Thanks for taking the time to write these schedules out.

NHL.com still doesn't have links out for each team.

Yay. No more playing Minnasota 10 times, lol. ;)

For me it looks like all the Monday or Tuesday games are after January. That’s good. Hopefully the Delta variant will be gone by then & another one doesn’t take it’s place. And I hope they keep their vaccination policy.

Surprised they went with a fairly normal schedule. Don't get me wrong, thrilled I'll get to see them here (Ottawa) in November, but just thought they'd be a little more cautious. Even staying within their own conference could have limited some of the travel. Hard to know how normal the world will be two once the world gets back to school and normal life in September. Other than me, not sure the world needs Ottawa in LA or vice versa.
