Wow, Ducks GM/Vp Murray put on Administrative leave pending investigation. Has the Chicago incident opened up a bad secret going on in the league. This could be very bad for The NHL.

Bad but good, transparency albeit late, will help the game long term.

They tryin to be popular like the other leagues but in the wrong ways.

Like I said in the Chicago thread, I'm all for it.
Change is so needed. What else doesn't the public know? How bad is the culture?

According to a NY NHL blogger Murray ”engaged in "mental warfare", verbally assaulted players and staff and through constant outbursts of anger created a culture of fear”.

Sounds like a fun guy to be around…

It's the good ol boys attitude of the American workforce rearing its ugly head and hopefully treating other people like people becomes more common in more facets of life, though I am doubtful.

And I'm optimistic

Is this a rhetorical question?

We all watched the Kings GM allow a wife beater skate with the club in violation of NHL rules.

We all watched the Kings GM completely gloss over his opiate addicted player (when all signs pointed to a player deep in addiction), and then toss him to the curb when "surprise" he had illegal drugs when crossing the border.

Drug mules to Vegas pool parties........etc and so on.

No problems with the Kings past or present. No problems in the NHL. No culture of corruption, and wallpapering over major problems within clubs. The NHL is has been and is doing just fine!

....and let's not talk about known concussions and suing our own players over it.....nothing to see there either.

NHL is shining example of good behavior and trust!

That picture is not flattering. Looks drunk/hungover behind the bench.

I believe you mean very good for the NHL, sure it may tarnish the brand at the moment ... but it will make it a safer and better work place for the players, which will be shown in the on ice product .. happy workers are productive workers

At least we know Blake will be here until 2050

One of my bud's used to see Murray after work a lot at a Pizza place in Yorba Linda. They would pound beers together and talk, but Murray never wanted to talk about the ducks lol.
