?couldn?t find a way to put the puck in an empty net.

amirite?

I am still on for my prediction of goals for Arvidsson.

Good God I have never seen anyone who so frequently looks like they are going to score and then never does it.

Couldn't hit water if he fell out of a ****ing boat

Austin Wagner says hello :)

But in all seriousness, I think the skill and creativeness that Arvidsson brings to the table, the Kings don't have any of that to match it.

The Kings are all about pass, pass, pass, shoot wide, pass, turnover.

Arvidsson is passer, get in position, expects the teammate to shoot it. Instead, I see him jockeying for position and then the Kings don't seem to do anything about it.

Thank God he got that shootout goal. Would’ve felt bad for him… after much anger.

Happy for him on that SO goal. It feels like he is almost there.
He is assertive on the ice, just missing his spots. Not missing like Wagner, Brown, Kharalati, Corvo, Craig Johnson, Lundmark, etc. It’s more like inches rather than feet….

Could be a system issue. I think he is used to being the benefactor of guys who drive the okay offensively. Most of our guys don?t. In terms of Wagner and also Lewis, Clifford etc. Arvidssom frustrates me because he looks better than all of them. Those guys you quickly learned weren?t scorers but VA still looks like he?s going to score every time. He just has that look about him like he can dominate the play. Hard to explain but I knew Wagner was going to get away and then he was going to miss. VA seems to have all the tools but he can?t put it together once he needs to shoot.

Or Toffoli in his last couple of seasons with the Kings

That might be the better comparable for me because you know TT can do it and it seems the same with VA. We?re just in a long stretch of him not doing it.

He plays like he’s taking his shifts totally on his own. I like all the shooting but you can see the pressure he’s putting on himself.

I’d like to see what he could do with Byfield at some point.

Welp, looks like I’m having crow for dinner tonight.

Some random stats because i was curious to see how the move to the 2nd line has affected his game. Eye test had me feeling like he's been much better. Stats show he's been better, but maybe not quite as much as i thought.

Possession numbers are the best they've been in his career. His giveaways are BY FAR the best they've ever been, with only 2 giveaways so far this year. His career average is somewhere in the mid to upper mid twenties.
