As much as I like Quick to come back here, that's not going to happen unfortunately because what happened two seasons ago was something he won't forget. Blake trading him away left a sour taste in Quick's mouth, which influenced Quick to probably not want to return here.

Hopefully he keeps finding success with the Rangers then signs a 1 day contract to retire with the Kings once he is ready to hang it up. Either way, Quick will always be a LA legend.

Yup, the NHL is a business. And Quick did play himself out of a job, as least as the Number One. But the way it went down was not pretty. Not for the guy that was in the net for two Cups.

Really can't blame Quick if he were to hold a grudge, though I don't think he's the type of guy to do so. At the very least he knows the players and fans supported him.

It's very possible that by the time Quick chooses to retire neither Blake or Luc will be with the Kings Organization (especially if they fail to turn things around soon).
