After consultation with team medical staff, it has been determined that Dustin Brown will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury he sustained earlier in the year. Brown will continue to undergo treatment and rehabilitation.

He didn't look right in Wednsday's game, and now we know why

Not that i expect this to be intentional, but does this allow for an emergency call up from the Reign? Im assuming not, but just wondering i fthis gives the Kings a chance to bring another player up that they maybe hadnt expected to be able to.

Guess he didnt want to risk Seattle possibly picking him over Clague.

Wonder if this will be surgery or rehabilitation. Its been a mixed bag for Brown this year. He's scored some goals, but harder to tell if he's been pushing the kids.

I wonder how many more season Brown's body has left in it. One year left on his current deal and if his play remains close to what it was this season he's going to get at least one more contract somewhere if he wants it.

I was hoping Luff would finally get a chance to play with real playmakers . I guess TMAC really doesn't like him.

Feels like the ship has sailed on him. Never really seemed like he got a good long look but maybe it was enough to figure out he's not one of the future guys.

There's no emergency. There's like 95 players on the active roster. It'll be fine.

Brown will retire and walk away after next year.

Maybe he was really wanting to be part of Kopi's 1,000th point. Too bad he wasn't if he's been playing in pain just to be a part of it.

im not suggesting it won't be fine, what im asking is whether the Kings are allowed an additional call up, because they were limited to 4. I believe Byfield and Anderson burned 2 of those callups. I think active roster injuries miiiiight effect how many players they can call up from the reign. That's what im asking about. There was talk about the Kings possibly allowing Turcotte and/or Kaliyev a chance on the team this season.

No, they are not allowed an emergency call up. I asked Hoven on twitter, he confirmed.

Will being on the IR affect the value of Brown and Quick in the expansion draft?

He's scoring at a 25+ goal per season clip. If he walks away while scoring near the same rate as his prime he's not walking away because the game passed him by.

Seattle will not pick any of these two even if healthy. Or were you being sarcastic?
