I thought that was just me thinking this. And his story about Hasek signing in Detroit relating to Panarin signing in LA didn't make any sense. Detroit was a recent Stanley Cup winner that had enough talent to compete again. I don't know the reason why Panarin wanted to play in LA. But it wasn't because we made the playoffs & lost in the 1st round 4 years in a row.
