Doughty initial diagnosis is "minor knee strain"

That's great news. Some Stars fans might now think I was overreacting last night...I was LIVID, and most didn't understand why.

Report from AAC: Stars fans really cheered loudly twice during their home opener. Once at the OT goal, and the other time for the Cowboys QB on the jumbotron.

All the fans were nice though.

He needs about six months of rest and he should be good. So Nov-April that seems about right. I?m just looking out for him. For three weeks in Feb he can play and then rest.

Hi - first time, long time. "When will Doughty be back?"

Wow, absolute best case scenario.

Doughty has been remarkably durable so when he didn't return last night, I figured it was going to be very bad.

I sprained my knee as a goalie and was out 3 months, just saying.

He'll probably be out 10 games, and we're going to sink to the bottom.

Time to play the kids and let them get their lumps

Anyone been by the Taco Bell for some updates?

Once they took the Enchirito off the menu, I have refrained from going. Now if they bring back the "Bell Beefer" that is a whole new ballgame. I have been without updates for a while.

Has anyone mentioned Cam Neely and Ulf Samuelsson yet?

You're welcome.

Per Blake:
Doughty knee contusion. Will skate in 6 weeks, play in 8 weeks
Waker torn ACL and MCL, out for season.

Going to be a rougher 8 weeks or so ahead of us...Dewey back just in time to celebrate Christmas.

Could have been a lot worse for Doughty. This really is his first significant absence since he's been with the Kings. Horrible (but not unexpected) news for Walker.
