FIRE LUC

My opinion:
Winning is not Luc's number 1 priority. It's somewhere down the line.
He's a company man, so his priorities are AEG's priorities: $$$$

If anyone thinks Luc's priority is winning, then they have not been paying attention to the last decade.

If anyone thinks my opinion of how the AEG operates the Kings is "inaccurate", well then I'd say they might be correct, however I will tell you they are DEAD WRONG. Why? Because AEG has a track record of not just running the Kings this way, they run the Galaxy this way as well. Since Timmy left, under Danny B. it's their MO for running sports teams.

Example: (Last season the Galaxy went on a HISTORIC 16 consecutive games without a win....16........and the manager was not fired, and he is still managing the team as of this day) Plenty of excuses galore however....and get this: They signed this manager 2 seasons ago to the highest paid manager's contract in the league)

AEG does not have a spending problem, they have an inept management problem.

...and you are correct, AEG is not ideal ownership.

Luc wasn’t that excited about PLD because he’s bottom line first. He thought he was the missing piece. Luc didn’t say “we’re right there,” because he was gaslighting. He believes it.

He, like Blake, will always be a professional athlete with a retired number. Their egos don’t go away. They are inherently competitive and want to win.

But i’m with you on inept management.

Fans don’t stop supporting their team. The deathly boring hockey this season didn’t even turn them away too much. So how do we get rid of Luc? At least there’s a narrative building against him in, ahem, podcast media…I don’t know how Luc goes.

Good points, but yes and no.

Elgin Baylor was GM for the Clippers for 22 YEARS, and he was horrible at his job.
He was a pro athlete as well. I don't buy the inherently competitive to win athlete under it all.
In the end some people just fit and slide right into becoming company men.
Elgin, (clips) Luc, Blake, (Kings) Klein, Kirvoski (Galaxy) ....all pro athletes, horrible in the FO.

They "say" they want to win, but all were/are company men. Sometimes it be like that.

How do "we" get rid of Luc?
Stop going to games, stop spending money on the Kings.
It's that simple. Hit 'em in the bottom line.

How do "we" know it works?
Galaxy supporters and fans boycotted the team a few seasons back until Danny B. pulled the plug on the entire front office.

Both teams run by AEG.
Both teams run by shadow president Danny B.

Seems like Kings games get a good influx of visiting fans that keeps the arena relatively full. That said, I think if a good amount of season ticket holders do not repurchase for next season, and provide their reason why, changes would likely be made.

It's unlikely, though, as hockey fans tend to stay loyal and attend/buy regardless (even when there is a much better product, currently, down the road in Anaheim).
