***Frozen Fury GDT Vegas Golden Knights vs. LA Kings 10/6/22 6:00pm on BSW & NHL***

Doughty is back in the game. I didn't see what happened when he got hurt....grandbaby was being cute & silly

Wow! Kings scored on the powerplay. If they get it going it will really help them a lot.

BTW, the Kings scored earlier, however they do not have replay on the ice so they couldn't overturn. It was on the same play that Vegas scored 10 seconds later

Well that explains why there is 4 goals against. Peterson is in net.

Vilardi looks like he’s ready to take the next step in his development. I hope he can stay healthy because his size, skill and offensive awareness is badly needed.

yes, that was definitely in. So, it's really a 5-4 game

Agree Gabe is looking good. Peterson not making case. Clarke looking good but is it the adrenaline of trying to make the team? Or would he flame out after 25 games? Think he needs more time. I am concerned about goaltending for the first time in I dint know how many years

why are all those annoying Boston fans there in their Bruins jerseys?? it's bad enough having them at Staples when we're actually playing Boston!

Could argue that goal made it three three. So the fourth Vegas would never happen since the play would start with a face off rather than the continuation of the play. Sorry peeve of mine that a mistake extends the play on ice when it doesn’t and is unpredictable.any time that the game will continue after a play is not made or a mistake is not corrected s a false assumption

lol, Drew. He pretty much did my always-unsuccessful shootout move

I agree with the sentiment of your post but there is a chance Cal comes around. He has only played in two games this preseason.

The Kings are simply not good enough to win with poor to mediocre goaltending. Looks like we'd better pray that Quick's body holds together for at least one more season. A Google search of "Los Angeles Kings goalie prospects" does not produce encouraging results: https://mayorsmanor.com/2022/03/la-kings-2022-prospect-rankings-goalie-depth-chart-2/

The PP is impressive. Fiala is the real deal. Vilardi looks like he's ready to become a NHL regular and trying to lock up a top-6 role (where he fits better); Vilardi is great in front of the net on the PP. Cal has been dreadful in net in back to back games. I like Clarke and would like to see him get up to 9 games to get a taste of the NHL regular season but I feel like the Kings will have to trot out an injury to make that happen.

Tough luck on the lack of replay in a non-NHL arena but there is no reason to be blowing 2 goal leads in back-to-back games. The defense and goalies need to clean that up.

I didn’t know this game was on TV. I thought all preseason games were audio only. Oh well. To me one of the biggest positives is Vilardi, not just this game but the whole preseason. He’s really stepped up & deserves to be on the team & in the lineup until Arvidsson comes back. I’d also say Clarke deserves to get 9 games. And maybe even more though it’s probably not likely. OTOH, I really hope Cal gets better. Otherwise that contract is looking like a huge mistake.

Having slept on that one I can say the following for sure:
Cal needs more work for sure. His body language is very much first game of preseason. He better start Saturday too.
Gabe needs to bottle up this mojo and keep it for when things get tough so he can draw himself out of a spiral. He's the epitome of a "when he's high he's high, when he's low he's low" kind of player. Looks great out there right now though.
Fiala and Kempe are going to be exciting
Clarke continues to impress for sure. I hope the staff is on board with him.
Durzi and Toby were an adventure.
