Nice. This photo has all kinds of "weekend vibes". Didn't start crying (which was super unexpected) until they passed it to Lucky and Bob, weirdsies. What a sap. =)

I was driving home from work in Irvine on the 405 listening to THEE POWERPLAY unfold and was getting a lumpy throat! Made it home to catch the entire 3rd period! A great day indeed!
 
we had won tickets to the opening of Carsland at California Adventure several weeks earlier, well before we knew the Kings were playing this cup clinching game, so I could not disappoint the family and cancel. We were in line for Radiator Springs Racers when the Kings scored the 3 goals. Needless to say, I was glued to the score the rest of the night and high fives were shared with the many other Kings fans at Disney that night. I got home and was on cloud 9, stayed up to watch the recording of the game and the post game celebrations. Easily in my top 2 or 3 sports moments ever.
 
It cost me one kidney and two mortgages on my house but Mrs Slo and I were there to watch Brownie raise that cup mhihi:

Thank you. June 11 is my anniversary. 27th this year.
 
I was prepared to pay a Bitcoin ransom for my then 19-year old son and I to be at Staples for that game.

Worth every penny... and more.

It became a father/son shared memory that will never fade.
