It's time to bring back Lombardi.

You're bat **** crazy. Lombardi screwed this team up horridly.

Team needs more Tim Leiweke and less Danny B and the bean counters.

He had the lethal combination of bad decisions and bad luck in dealing with the fallout of winning 2 Stanley Cups in 3 years.

it’s something no future Kings GM will ever have to deal with.

Lombardi has several key trades and just as many horrible, give the future away, trades towards the end but the best decision he ever made was choosing the right coach.

Talk any **** about Lombardi you want but... 2 cups in 3 years. Come on now. Though it's rather irrelevant right now.

For 3 amazing seasons I'd put up with 8 terrible ones. But were going nowhere fast, Drew's injury just showed us how horrible a team we really are.

I mean, could it get any worse?

No...if you are going to start fresh, you completely clean house and that means anyone that was a past player or had any involvement with the organization.

I don?t know about that. I?d personally have no problem with Futa coming back.

Yeah. That was awesome and will never forget that. However, Lombardi couldn't adjust to how the NHL was changing. The Kings were big, slow and not skilled. Their style was useless after their Cup wins. The other teams were younger, faster and more skilled and exposed the Kings bad. Instead of adjusting, he decided to hand out insane contracts making those players untradeable and keeping them in the bottom 5 of the NHL for... well still ongoing since they are still a bottom 5 team.

The Kings need new management who are not from the organization. Get a fresh GM and get rid of Luc and Blake. Get a new coach and then let's see how the team does going forward.

I agree that The Kings need a new GM, President and Head coach. Who would all suggest they bring in. I would like to see John Tortarella behind the Kings bench. He takes no **** and he pushes his players to play hard and hold them accountable which i think the kKings desperately need. As far as GM and President i would have to do some research on who is avaliable and the knowledge and success they have had.

I believe there will be zero personnel changes this season. Now come next year if the Kings falter early then a few heads might roll. This team will improve as they play, however not enough to be considered a playoff team or even sniffing the playoffs come March. This team might put up a streak due to teams not getting up to play these Kings and or the Kings system starts to work itself out.

Just relax it's only Ocotober 26, however I get the frustration but we still get to see hockey. Now let's see how they do at home and maybe they start to play with more aggression because you saw on Todd's face as he was pissed after that second goal.

Mental mistakes last night did in the Kings and maybe being able to score a goal or two could be a problem as well. The bottom line is that it's all good, so relax take your kids out for Halloween get some candy and maybe if you are real lucky you might get a treat at home? Stick with the players that are there now and see if they can gel together? I am actually excited for the game on Thursday because its always a new adventure with the Kings usually the same results, however this Thursday like Adrian said "win!"

Best,

And it took 6 years to win that first Cup...

So given that Blake has been GM since 2017 that would mean 4 years in, this is the team Lombardi had put together in 2010-11 season.

Show me ANY leadership Blake has given this team. We got a bunch of kids and no one pushing them. Look at the 2010 players. That team had heart and grit. I call bull**** on it being a faster younger game. Every year we see teams in the playoffs still grinding wins out.

Our team has no heart!

What did Lombardi start with? Kopitar, Brown and a bunch of wildcard prospects.

How many GMs have won multiple Stanley Cups over the past 30 years?
