Jared Woolley

Power Forward
Has anyone been keeping an eye on this guy? So far this season he has 12 points in 13 games for the London Knights, and is a +9. Could he be developing in this player the Kings desperately need on the blue line (with size and skill)?

Curious if anyone has seen him play this season.

I just checked the Mayor’s site but didn’t find his prospect report. He is usually pretty good about updating it so maybe later in the week. But I see his partner Brzustevicz has 6 goals and 9 points in 12 games. Looking good for the Kings a couple of years down the line.

Pretty cool to have two prospects already playing together, and friends. Woolley has a presence about him which is hard to find, and Brz projects to be the more offensively gifted of the two. Looks like Woolley may have taken a leap forward this season to pair skill with his physical dominance.

If these two can develop into top 4 D pair and QB and Clarke close in to their potential, the Kings' future post Kopi+Drew doesn't look that bad at all.

Kempe, QB, Fiala, Moore, Clarke, Anderson, Laf, Turcotte, Wooley, Brz, Greentree, Helenius, Mallott, Lee, along with 2 gems (maybe even 3) in goal.

Resign Foegele and Armia and you're potentially 1 top 6 (or top 9, if Turcotte spurts) center away form fielding a competitive and very cost controlled team after Drew retires.

The only really ugly spot post-Drew are Ceci and Edmundson. Maybe the Kings strike lucky with Salin and he replaces him on the 3rd pair in 2 years time as the more offensive minded D-man on the 3rd pair to go with Dumoulin...

This is assuming Kempe resigns, of course. If he doesn't, well, if he's traded for a top package (preferably for a very talented C prospect) then OK, if he walks for nothing? Well then we're screwed...
