Protocol flip flops...

-- Martin Frk had cleared protocol, he's been reassigned to AHL Ontario (Reign play tomorrow).

-- Meanwhile, Adrian Kempe has entered protocol. Won't be available tomorrow in San Jose.

Fagemo time apparently

It will be interesting to see if Brown goes onto the top line again or if somebody like Turcotte goes up there.

they've been skating with Fagemo on the top line. McClellan says they have "a plan". My guess is that Fagemo starts there and gets swapped with Brown if he cant hang playing responsible hockey at those 1st line minutes.

Bummer.

The Kempe we've all been waiting for finally arrived, unfortunately so did COVID. Will this **** ever end?

Oh well, it gives us a chance to look at another kid and another line-up possibility. Silver linings, etc.

SO happy for this surprise rainstorm...it's a miracle. Made it home in plenty of time for the game. Our crackerjack weather forecasters had a zero percent chance of rain listed for today as of yesterday morning. I want a job where I can be consistently wrong and still get paid!

Bad timing...missing two key games in the guppies, TB and probably Colorado. I'm glad TMac is trying a rookie instead of Brown.

The NHL reached a destination that many expected them to on Tuesday, with DailyFaceOff's Frank Seravalli reporting that the league and the NHLPA have agreed to stop administering COVID-19 tests to players who are asymptomatic.

I will be shocked, shocked I tell you, if the players start feeling pressure from their teams to hide, or at least not report, their symptoms.

No Kempe no win. Trade everyone except Kempe??

update (loosening) to testing protocols:

I found it interesting that 70% of players have tested positive and they get a 90 day testing exemption after negative test after the time spent in protocol.

Does asympomatic mean exactly that? Does it mean even the slightest sore throat? These are guys who play in the playoffs with broken bones. They're not going to want to sit out over a sore throat. I think the pressure would come from the players themselves. Not to say the teams wouldn't apply pressure. But they need to have people outside the team to check their symptoms & give the tests so that things like that don't happen.

It seems like the NHL will allow players to play through some symptoms. On the other side, players with families probably don?t want these players around.
