The full deal is Philly is retaining 50% and sending us a 2025 7th rounder in exchange for a 2027 3rd rounder.
This is the type of deal that makes sense to me. We just don't have the assets to pull a big trade. Kuzmenko is close to a half point per game player the last couple of seasons.

Fair enough trade. Giving up a third round pick isn't going to hurt LA and this team needs depth at forward.

Not a huge fan of this deal given Andrey is a rental, but the guy can play and should help our lineup quite a bit. He's never played a NHL playoff game so it'll be interesting to see how he fares. It moves us forward, but not sure by much.
Laf was a 3rd round pick - they are nothing to sneeze at or to give up easily.
If we extend him at a reasonable rate, though, this trade will become a very good one.

He will probably score more goals to finish out the season than Byfield. Not sure where that really sets the bar, though.

0. He very likely won’t be re-signing in LA.
If he finishes the season hot then maybe he signs a Foegele type contract. If he finishes as a healthy scratch like he’s been in Philly, he’ll be lucky to get a 1 year deal in the NHL. He’s a prime candidate to return to Russia, imo.
