Ken Holland, Mike Futa, Luc himself, Bicep Club, or some other first time GM. It won't be Brisson, unless he's playing hardball. He makes enough as a agent to answer to Luc.

Yep been on Darche bandwagon for awhile and Janko, but I think despite what he say wants experienced Gm and would rather Holland than Bergevin and he would be outside organization and new voice and maybe Yannetti can have assistant Gm role and be groomed by Holland

The two key factors at play (I think) are Luc related.

1) Trust. Luc is putting his Kings career on the line with this hire. If this GM fails he’s taking Luc with him. The next GM will be someone Luc has an established working relationship because there’s very little runway left to get this plane off the ground and into the 2nd round.

2) Experience. Luc doesn’t have time to wait for a first time GM to learn on the job. The next GM will be someone who knows exactly what is required of the job on day 1. There is quite literally no time to waste with the draft and free agency less than 60 days away.

The Kings are in a bind because of the time crunch and because the list of above replacement level candidates is pretty thin at the moment. I’m expecting Holland to get the job, trade out of the 1st round and make a splash in free agency. I also expect Greentree and one of the top goalies in our system to be moved in a deal for a young D man. I wonder if Owen Power is available…

McDavid's cap hit next season is $12.5MM. If Edmonton doesn't think they can re-sign him after next season or extend him again, they are going to have to trade him so they can get something back. I'd imagine Edmonton would have to keep some of that cap hit to make the trade a bit less painful, but how in the wide wide world of hockey could the Kings afford him?

Agreed, and the Kings are due to make a splash a la LeBron/Luka. I could actually see this happening if he decides he doesn't want to stay in Edmonton...and if they don't make the finals this year, that very well could be the case. Am I crazy for thinking along these lines?

Stop spreading rumors. I have never heard him mention her love for Taco Bell.

However, I have heard him in more than one interview state that he loves LA and loves vacationing here. I think the Gretzky interview was one of them, but for sure was not the only time I heard him say that.
