In another sign that the 2024-25 NHL season is nearly upon us, teams are beginning to significantly thin down their training camp rosters. In preparation of AHL Ontario beginning their own camp on Monday, the Kings have initiated what will be two waves of players sent to the Reign.

As noted in the above article, LA will hold off any decisions regarding Jacob Moverare and Caleb Jones for a little bit longer. They plan to take one of those two defensemen with them to Quebec City on Tuesday. Jones played against the Ducks on Saturday and Moverare is expected to play Monday night’s game in Anaheim.

Forwards Sammy Helenius and Andre Lee are also expected to stay with the Kings for at least another week.

Meanwhile, the following players (under NHL contract) were placed on waivers today, for the purpose of assigning them to the AHL:

Forwards: Glenn Gawdin, Tyler Madden,

Defensemen: Joe Hicketts, Reilly Walsh

Additionally, the following Kings prospects are expected to be assigned to Ontario, as they are all exempt from waivers this season:

Forwards: Martin Chromiak, Aatu Jamsen, Kaleb Lawrence, Franky Pinelli, Koehn Ziemmer

Defensemen: Angus Booth, Cole Krygier

Goaltender: Erik Portillo
