I just don't want to see the Kings make the same mistake they did with Hiller in keeping the interim coach, so...whatever.

I don't believe it's a bad idea to sign DJ for two years, until Holland is gone. Then sign a coach for the rebuild and let him go after year 3. Sign a solid veteran coach for the remainder of the rebuild.

Sure, yes, Ken should sign a decorated, but by now somewhat mediocre head coach, to an expensive contract that might extend past "Ken's window" and into potential rebuild...over a coach that has a good history of developing young players and has exceeded expectations (post Hiller's firing ones) with the Kings this season...who would be cheap and potentially good for the start of the rebuild, too.

What could possibly go wrong!
