I noticed he’s been uncharacteristically active on social media this off-season and the vast majority of it is family related. I’m guessing he can see the finish line of his career rapidly approaching and he’s ready to be a full time dad. Very happy for him.

I thought it was pretty much "out there" that he was leaving. I know Hoven has mentioned it multiple times. I think Holland wants him back but it's likely wishful thinking.

The good news is if he does retire, that opens the door for Holland to sign Evander Kane to a 10 Year 90 million dollar contract.
