The Stars have been giving the Kings as of late. Not that it's an excuse for tonight, but I need an excuse, haha. :noidea:

Haha. Night peeps. Still early, so I'll watch a movie to wash out that bad taste. ;)
 
LA now legitimately has a case for the worst overall PP in the league this season despite their record. This unfortunately is going to have them get bounced out of the first round again for a fourth consecutive time. Who the hell is the PP coach for this team? Because the PP1 line is so ungodly awful at trying to make the perfect passes for goal attempts that it's unreal, especially with Kopi leading the line. If Hiller is actually doing double duties on the PP coaching besides ES coaching, he sure seems terrible at managing the PP this season.
 
Bottom line Dallas is a top five team and the Kings are in the top 10-20 and the 10 is generous. A top five team beat a mid level team tonight, no big headlines.

Ironically, the PP was fantastic last season right? Although it definitely let us down in the playoffs. On the other hand, the penalty kill was also a strength, and it’s let us down in the first round of the playoffs for three consecutive seasons.
 
I got home from work after 8 so I stayed off social media until I watched the recorded game. I fast forwarded it at the 4th goal. I just couldn’t stomach watching the Kings stink up the ice. I watched after the second goal and fast forward again after Dallas 5th goal. Onto the Blues!!
 
The after action report on this one is pretty simple. Dallas’ top end draft picks from the last four or five years are the drivers on their team, and their squad will be extremely formidable for the foreseeable future. The Kings, on the other hand, have been carried by play from veteran guys who appear to be running out of steam, and the future there seems far less bright, by comparison.

Beyond that, Lewis and Jeannot don’t need to play another game for the Kings again. Ever.

Dallas was clearly the better team, but Q hit the crossbar and Thousand Oaks missed an open net on that PP. Possibly different game if those convert.
