With the World Junior Championship around the corner and rosters beginning to take shape, it’s an exciting time to be following the Kings’ prospect pool. Week nine of the 2025-26 Prospect Tracker features two of LA’s 2025 draft picks earning spots on Team USA’s preliminary roster, points from all three Denver prospects in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game, and Lombardi extending his point streak to five games.

The following reports cover games played through the end of day Monday, December 1st.

Ontario Hockey League (OHL)

Henry Brzustewicz, London Knights, RH Defenseman (31st overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 8 goals, 6 assists, minus-14, 26 PIM in 21 games played

After going seven games without a goal, Brzustewicz found the back of the net Saturday, scoring his eighth of the season. LA’s top pick from the 2025 Draft added an assist in the same contest and generated seven shots across the back-to-back series, staying engaged offensively. London split their weekend set against Saginaw and hold sixth place in the OHL.

Brzustewicz was named to Team USA’s preliminary roster for the World Junior Championship, putting the Michigan native in position to represent his country at the tournament for the first time.

Jan Chovan, Sudbury Wolves, Center/Right Wing (184th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 6 goals, 9 assists, minus-17, 2 PIM in 25 games played

Chovan posted another three-point weekend, recording a goal and two assists as Sudbury went 2-1-0. His goal came in a 6-3 win over Barrie; after winning a faceoff in the offensive zone, he one-timed a wrist shot past the netminder. The two-way forward continues to showcase offensive instincts that complement his defensive awareness. He now has 15 points through 25 games in his first North American season.

Per this report, Chovan is expected to represent Team Slovakia at the World Junior Championship for the second consecutive year.

Carter George, Owen Sound Attack, Goalie (57th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 3.07 GAA, .900 SV%, 1 SO, 1 assist, 9 wins in 20 games played

George and Owen Sound were unable to secure a win in either of their two games against Liam Greentree’s Spitfires last week, falling 3-1 on Wednesday and 3-2 on Saturday. However, the young netminder stopped 46 of 51 shots across the two contests, posting a .901 save percentage against one of the OHL’s top offensive teams. Despite Owen Sound managing just four wins in their past ten games, George has helped keep the Attack competitive; they hold first place in the Midwest Division and rank fifth overall.

As expected, George is a lock for Team Canada’s roster and projects as their starting netminder, just as he was at last year’s tournament.

Liam Greentree, Windsor Spitfires, Right Wing (26th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 15 goals, 13 assists, plus-2, 25 PIM in 20 games played

After picking up an assist last Wednesday, Greentree broke his four-game scoreless drought on Saturday with a goal against fellow Kings prospect Carter George. The big power forward pivoted to create a passing lane, then walked across the slot and buried the puck in an open net after George tumbled and lost his positioning. Windsor is clinging to second place in the OHL with Ottawa and Flint nipping at their heels just one point back. Greentree will face Kings prospects Henry Brzustewicz and Jared Woolley this weekend when Windsor takes on London in a back-to-back set.

Despite recording 119 points last season, Greentree is on the bubble for Team Canada’s WJC roster.

Jimmy Lombardi, Flint Firebirds, Center (125th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 18 goals, 16 assists, plus-8, 34 PIM in 25 games played

Lombardi extended his point streak to five games, tallying four goals and an assist across three contests. He scored twice in Wednesday’s 5-4 win over Saginaw, once on a breakaway and again on a tip-in during a net-front battle. On Friday, Lombardi tapped in a rebound just outside the blue paint for the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Soo. Saturday brought a fortunate bounce, as the puck deflected off his skate and into the net, though Flint’s 11-game win streak came to an end in a 3-2 shootout loss to Sarnia. All four of Lombardi’s goals this week were assisted by Nathan Aspinall, highlighting the chemistry the two have developed on the first line. Flint is tied with Ottawa for third place in the OHL, with the two teams set to face off Sunday.

Jared Woolley, London Knights, LH Defenseman (164th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 6 goals, 11 assists, plus-11, 32 PIM in 24 games played

Woolley wasn’t the only London defenseman to snap a goal drought this week. After going 13 games without finding the back of the net, he scored on a two-on-one in Saturday’s 8-5 win against Saginaw. The heavy blueliner added two assists that game and now leads all London defensemen in scoring with 17 points in 24 games (Brzustewicz trails with 14 points in 21 games).
While Woolley isn’t receiving a lot of attention by those projecting Team Canada’s World Junior Championship roster, yet he’s listed as a sleeper candidate here.

Western Hockey League (WHL)

Will Sharpe, Kelowna Rockets, LH Defenseman (216th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 2 goals, 10 assists, even plus-minus, 8 PIM in 19 games played

Sharpe and Kelowna went 2-1-0 this week, defeating Spokane twice (6-1 Wednesday, 4-1 Saturday) while dropping a 5-2 contest to Tri-City on Friday. The seventh-round pick recorded an assist Wednesday and generated a season-high five shots on goal in Friday’s loss. If the puck-moving defenseman can maintain that shooting volume, he’s likely to snap his 12-game goal drought soon. Kelowna holds ninth place with a 12-8-3-1 record, and as the host team for the Memorial Cup, they are guaranteed a spot in the tournament.

COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)

Ryan Conmy, Boston College, Right Wing (182nd overall in 2023)
2025-26 Stats: 6 goals, 4 assists, plus-4, 6 PIM in 14 games played

Conmy tallied a secondary assist in Friday’s 5-3 victory over Notre Dame. He managed to catch a loose puck outside the crease and created the scoring chance with a backhand drop pass to the trailer. The shifty winger logged 17 minutes of ice time (fourth among BC forwards), matching his season average. As long as Conmy stays true to his game — firing the puck when he has it, and doing the dirty work without it — he should finish the season as a point-per-game player. For the third week in a row, BC holds the No. 15 spot in the national rankings, sitting at 8-5-1 and second place in Hockey East.

Kristian Epperson, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (88th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 5 goals, 2 assist, plus-3, 12 PIM in 15 games played

Playing in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game at Ball Arena, Epperson recorded a secondary assist. The helper came on his team’s opening goal, of what would end up as a 6-5 overtime loss to Minnesota. The third-round pick continues to develop in his freshman campaign, skating on Denver’s second line and averaging 15 minutes of ice time per game — something not very common for a first-year player, especially at such a prestigious program.

Caeden Herrington, Univ. of Vermont, RH Defenseman (120th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 1 goal, 3 assists, minus-6, 10 PIM in 12 games played

Herrington tallied an assist and three shots on goal in Vermont’s 7-2 loss to Dartmouth. The Vermont native fired a shot low through traffic that was tipped top shelf by a teammate in front of the net. The Catamounts have struggled this season, posting a 4-8-0 record and sitting ninth in Hockey East. They will have their work cut out for them next week, as they face No. 18 Boston University in a back-to-back series.

Brendan McMorrow, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (196th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 1 goal, 4 assists, plus-4, 4 PIM in 13 games played

McMorrow got his stick on a puck during a battle in the slot, helping to put his teammate in a position to recover the puck and score. The seventh-round pick continues to outplay his draft status, hovering just under a half-point-per-game pace. Denver dropped to No. 6 in the rankings following the loss. They hold a 9-5-1 record and are tied with Western Michigan atop the NCHC.
McMorrow was named to Team USA’s preliminary WJC roster and will make his case to secure a spot at the selection camp in mid-December.

James Reeder, Univ. of Denver, Right Wing (198th overall in 2024)
2025-26 Stats: 4 goals, 8 assists, plus-12, 0 PIM in 15 games played

Reeder followed up last week’s two-assist performance with three more helpers this week, recording his fourth multi-point game of the season. His first assist came off a breakout pass, the second on a tipped shot, and the third in the closing seconds of regulation, where he recovered his own rebound to start a tic-tac-toe sequence for the goal. If not for a shot ringing off the post midway through the third, he would have had a fourth assist to boot. Given his performance throughout the night, it’s no surprise Reeder logged the most minutes of any Denver forward in the contest.

Hampton Slukynsky, Western Michigan Univ., Goalie (118th overall in 2023)
2025-26 Stats: 2.81 GAA, .888 SV%, 1 SO, 1 assist, 9 wins in 14 games played

Slukynsky and Western Michigan did not play during Thanksgiving week. The Broncos will return to action against No. 4-ranked Minnesota-Duluth in a two-game series this coming weekend.

Jack Sparkes, Clarkson Univ., RH Defenseman (180th overall in 2022)
2025-26 Stats: 0 goals, 1 assist, minus-1, 12 PIM in 15 games played

Clarkson went 1-1-0 on the weekend, as Sparkes recorded two shots in Saturday’s game against Maine. Through two months of the season, he has held firm as the team’s seventh defenseman, though a larger role could emerge as the year progresses.

EUROPEAN LEAGUES

Vojtech Cihar, Czechia-HC Energie Karlovy Vary, Forward (59th overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 4 goals, 4 assists, minus-2, 8 PIM in 27 games played

Cihar had a two-point weekend with a goal and an assist. The latter was an absolute highlight-reel play, as the second-round pick maneuvered through two defensemen in the slot, utilizing a perfect toe drag to give his teammate a wide-open chance. After a brief stint on the third line, he is back to an expanded role with the second unit and continues to contribute on both sides of the ice. Karlovy Vary went 2-0-0 over the weekend and are on a four-game win streak.

Team Czechia will announce their WJC roster in the coming days, and Cihar will certainly be on it.

Petteri Rimpinen, Liiga-Kiekko-Espoo, Goalie (152nd overall in 2025)
2025-26 Stats: 2.74 GAA, .898 SV%, 1 SO, 7 wins in 20 games played

Rimpinen stopped 52 of 58 shots across two games this week, posting a .897 save percentage. Kiekko-Espoo secured a 3-2 victory over Vaasan on Wednesday before falling 4-1 to SaiPa on Saturday. The Finnish netminder and his club hold seventh place in Liiga with 41 points, 10 back of first place.
Rimpinen is believed to be a lock for Team Finland’s starting job at the WJC, just as he was at the Five Nations tournament.
