Week 22 of the LA Kings Prospect Tracker brings plenty to dig into. In the OHL, Henry Brzustewicz put together one of his best weeks of the season with six points in three games, while Carter George continued his remarkable post-trade surge with 74 saves on 79 shots. Out west, Vojtech Cihar delivered an almost cheat code highlight reel in Kelowna. And in college hockey, keep an eye on the NCHC semifinals — Hampton Slukynsky and Western Michigan are set to face a Denver team that features three Kings prospects, making it must-watch hockey for LA fans. The following reports cover games played through the end of day Tuesday, March 10th.

Ontario Hockey League (OHL)

Henry Brzustewicz, London Knights, RH Defenseman (31st overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 17 goals, 33 assists, minus-19, 53 PIM in 54 games played

Brzustewicz delivered one of his best weeks of the season, racking up six points across three games. He opened with a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Guelph before erupting for four assists in a 10-2 blowout of Erie. The highlight of the week came on a gorgeous two-line pass from the far-side half wall all the way to the far blueline, springing his teammate for a goal — and coming inches shy of a three-line pass. He went pointless in the rematch against Erie, a 3-1 win, but the week improved his place among the OHL’s elite offensive defensemen and Brzustewicz now holds seventh in points among blueliners.

Jan Chovan, Sudbury Wolves, Center/Right Wing (184th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 23 goals, 24 assists, minus-30, 12 PIM in 55 games played

Chovan only had one goal this week but it was an impressive one. He positioned himself just outside the crease along the goal line to receive a pass and fired the puck in on a low-angle shot — his 15th power play goal of the season, showcasing his significant playmaking ability around the net. Sudbury went 1-1-0, beating Oshawa 5-2 Friday before dropping a 3-1 decision to North Bay on Sunday. He was also named one of Sudbury’s Players of the Month.

Carter George, Soo Greyhounds, Goalie (57th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 2.71 GAA, .910 SV%, 4 SO, 1 goal, 2 assists, 21 wins in 41 games played

After allowing five goals last week in a loss to Kingston, George bounced back in a big way. He made 74 saves on 79 shots over the Soo’s two games — posting save percentages of .930 and .944 respectively. He earned the first star in a 4-3 shootout win over Flint, before receiving third star honors in a 3-0 loss to Jared Woolley’s Kitchener Rangers. George has now nearly played as many games with the Soo as he did with Owen Sound, and the contrast is striking — a 2.29 GAA and .922 save percentage in 19 games with his new club compared to a 3.12 GAA and .899 save percentage in 22 games with his former team. Over the course of the season he ranks 11th among goaltenders, but take out his time in Owen Sound and he ranks in the top five.

Jimmy Lombardi, Flint Firebirds, Center (125th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 33 goals, 33 assists, plus-31, 63 PIM in 60 games played

Lombardi’s point pace has cooled a bit since earlier in the year, but he is still on fire. He closed out the week with a gorgeous cross-crease deke that broke the goalie’s ankles, then added an empty netter to finish with two goals and an assist across Flint’s three games, as they went 2-0-1. The fourth-round pick now sits 11th in the OHL in goals and is tied for second in game-winning goals with eight. His breakout season has not only shown he’s a premier offensive talent, but that he can deliver in the clutch too.

Jared Woolley, Kitchener Rangers, LH Defenseman (164th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 12 goals, 23 assists, plus-30, 64 PIM in 62 games played

Woolley went pointless over Kitchener’s three games, though his numbers among OHL defensemen remain impressive — 11th in goals and 20th in points. The Rangers went 2-1-0 to hold second place in the OHL standings, three points out of first, with Woolley’s fingerprints all over that climb even when his name isn’t on the scoresheet.

Western Hockey League (WHL)

Vojtech Cihar, Kelowna Rockets, Forward (59th overall in 2025)

2025-26 WHL Stats: 8 goals, 17 assists, plus-17, 12 PIM in 26 games played

Cihar delivered one of his most electric weeks since arriving in the WHL, and there were almost too many highlight plays to cover. He opened with a three-assist night that included a beautiful two-line pass up the middle, then capped the week with a highlight reel goal — batting the puck out of the air, pulling it across the crease, and wristing it top shelf. By the end of the week, the World Junior Championship MVP had tallied two goals and five assists, as Kelowna went 3-0-1. He is now just shy of a point-per-game pace, with 25 points in 26 games.

Will Sharpe, Vancouver Giants, LH Defenseman (216th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 4 goals, 21 assists, minus-14, 28 PIM in 54 games played

Sharpe faced his former team Kelowna twice this week, although it didn’t quite go the way he hoped. Vancouver dropped the opener 4-3 in overtime, but the left-shot defenseman bounced back in the rematch with an assist in a 2-1 shootout win. The double-revenge game marked his first win against his former team, having lost the previous three matchups. He added a goal against Kamloops in a 6-2 loss to close out the week. With the playoffs approaching, the pickup in offense might mean Sharpe is hitting his stride at exactly the right moment.

COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)

Ryan Conmy, Boston College, Right Wing (182nd overall in 2023)

2025-26 Stats: 8 goals, 17 assists, minus-4, 8 PIM in 33 games played

Conmy closed out the regular season on a tough note, as Boston College dropped both games — a 2-1 loss to 17th-ranked UMass and a 4-2 defeat to unranked Northeastern. He finished with two shots on goal in each game and a pair of assists in the second game. The Eagles will need to regroup quickly, as they host Maine on Friday in the Hockey East quarterfinals.

Kristian Epperson, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (88th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 10 goals, 7 assists, plus-4, 14 PIM in 35 games played

Epperson missed both of Denver’s playoff games this week due to illness, but the Pioneers swept their series regardless — moving from seventh to sixth in the national rankings. The freshman forward will look to return to the lineup as Denver advances and will face the defending national champions Western Michigan in the semifinals.

Caeden Herrington, Univ. of Vermont, RH Defenseman (120th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 1 goal, 7 assists, minus-13, 14 PIM in 33 games played

Herrington logged 20 minutes and a shot on goal as Vermont closed out the regular season with a 5-3 upset win over 18th-ranked Maine, sending them tumbling out of the national rankings. The mobile rearguard wraps up the year with eight points in 33 games, a modest total he’ll look to build on in 2026-27. Next up is a Hockey East playoff opener against 17th-ranked Boston University on Wednesday — a difficult matchup, but Vermont arrives with some momentum.

Brendan McMorrow, Univ. of Denver, Left Wing (196th overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 2 goals, 5 assists, plus-6, 4 PIM in 21 games played

McMorrow is officially off his minutes restriction and back to full-time play, logging 13:48 of ice time across Denver’s two playoff games. One shot on goal and a plus-1 is a healthy stat line for someone shaking off two months away with a broken finger sustained at the World Junior Championship. With Denver advancing, he’ll have more opportunities to round back into form.

James Reeder, Univ. of Denver, Right Wing (198th overall in 2024)

2025-26 Stats: 10 goals, 19 assists, plus-16, 4 PIM in 37 games played

Reeder opened the scoring in Saturday’s 6-2 win over Miami on a rebound that bounced off the post and fell into the crease. Denver swept the series, beating Miami 3-0 Friday and 6-2 on Saturday. The Pioneers now advance to the semifinals against Western Michigan, setting up a showdown with the Kings top goalie prospect Hampton Slukynsky.

Hampton Slukynsky, Western Michigan Univ., Goalie (118th overall in 2023)

2025-26 Stats: 2.27 GAA, .915 SV%, 4 SO, 2 assists, 26 wins in 36 games played

Slukynsky swept Colorado College in the opening round of the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, allowing just three goals on 62 shots across two games — a dominant 5-2 Friday night victory followed by a closely fought 2-1 win Saturday. The workhorse netminder has now played every minute between the pipes for the Broncos, leading the nation in wins with 26 and ranking fourth in shutouts with four. Up next: a second-round matchup with Denver and three fellow LA prospects — Epperson, McMorrow, and Reeder — making it a must-watch game for Kings fans.

Jack Sparkes, Clarkson Univ., RH Defenseman (180th overall in 2022)

2025-26 Stats: 0 goals, 2 assists, plus-1, 26 PIM in 34 games played

Sparkes closed out his regular season with a quietly encouraging performance, posting a season-high three shots on goal and blocking two more in 12:06 of ice time during a 2-1 win over RPI. The 6-foot-8 blueliner finishes the regular season with two assists in 34 games, consistent with his shutdown role. Clarkson will now face seventh-ranked Quinnipiac in a best-of-three ECAC quarterfinal matchup. It’s not impossible, but Clarkson will need to pull off a miracle if they want to move to the next round.

EUROPEAN LEAGUES

Petteri Rimpinen, Liiga-Kiekko-Espoo, Goalie (152nd overall in 2025)

2025-26 Stats: 2.41 GAA, .907 SV%, 3 SO, 1 assist, 12 wins in 33 games played

Rimpinen turned in a complete performance in his lone start of the week, stopping all 30 shots he faced for a shutout and adding an assist in a 4-0 win over eighth-place Assat. The fifth-round pick ranks eighth among all Liiga goaltenders in saves this season — a workload that would be even higher if not for his time starting every game for Finland at the World Junior Championship. The club firmly holds a wild card playoff spot with three games remaining in the regular season.
