GDT ***LA Kings @ Seattle Kraken GDT 12/10/25 7:00pm on TNT, tru, HBOmax***

Anyone think Utah would trade us Guenther for Byfield? The Mammoth appear to be in need of actual center depth. It should be a fairly equitable trade since Byfield is a #1 center, right?

I focused on him big time at the Utah game (easier to do in person) and then on TV tonight. He's awful. I defended him a couple weeks ago and I still don't think that a guy can go from one of our best players in the playoffs to awful in a few months time. That said, either he's playing like ass to get traded or he's completely in his own head so bad that he's awful. Either way, he's dragging the team down.
Danault and Kuzmenko are just stealing money right now.
 
So tired of Byfield and his 6.25m contract half assing it out there, this sloth looking coach that couldn't lead a bunch of midgets, taking dumbass penalties at the worst times (Hi Kempe!), watching them blow the lead late too many times to count, I'm sure I'll think of more

He even said in an interiew the other day how he's trying all kinds of things but nothing is working. I feel sorry for the guy - like, a month ago I was just frustrated, but now it's like maybe he's got something physically wrong with him? Remember the season that Dustin Brown was terrible & falling down all the time? I really think he had a concussion for that whole season because then he was way better the next season. Maybe something like that going on with Danault? He is 32 years old....getting up there in "hockey years" but to go from last season to now is just odd. There are entire games where he never even touches the puck except on faceoffs!

Definitely a bad taste in the mouth game. Simply put too many penalties, which were very reminiscent of penalties not called a few games back against Chicago. While Hiller wants the teams to be able to play even 5-5 and win the special teams battle, it might be better off if they won the 5-5 and the special teams battle. At least the team isn't giving up a pp goal per game like they were early in the season. Tough game, they got a point against a division foe, but this schedule is about to ramp up several levels in difficulty after Christmas. Post your favorite winter is coming meme here.
