Some afterthoughts: I like Gavi on the right (he leads the team in +/-), assuming other injuries don't dictate, I would keep Mikey with him when DD comes back. Pair DD with JM and sit Spence. Of course DD would move around as circumstances require. I like those new lines but it was just one game. Was that trade with Winnipeg all that lopsided? Gabe has sweet hands but not much else. Laferriere fills that hole quite nicely, he has the same goals/assists and is a much more complete player. Iafallo is a 4m fourth liner and Kupari is useless. Goaltending will be our Achilles heel.

I sincerely hope Hiller can keep this team playing with the intensity we just saw on display at the Crypt. The Kings we saw last night should steamroll the Ducks tomorrow. But we all know that is not this team’s pattern this year (or any recent year). Fingers crossed.

I said this EXACT SAME THING to my daughter last night at the game! We cannot break up the Mikey/Gavi duo now!! And DD w Moverare- hopefully Hiller reads our posts for all his coaching decisions.
