Well, the power is back on...and I'm four blocks outside of the evacuation zone...so far so good. But I have friends and acquaintances that lost homes. Very sad. My ex-working partner had finally completed his ten-year remodel. Nothing left but two chimneys. Forced to leave the state and move in with relatives. He is inconsolable.

My daughter lives in Altadena thank God her home is safe and she’s safe. Many of her friends and some neighbors lost their homes. Been a tough couple of days not being able to be there for her since I live out here in Colorado. Hoping the Kings can bring me some smiles and happiness tonight. I just wanna forget about what I’ve seen the last few days for a couple hours.

The game was mostly a defensive chess match with neither team breaking through in net, and the game remains scoreless for now. Get ready for the next 40 minutes of hockey.

Glad to hear she's okay and her house made it. My buddy wasn't so lucky...

...he lived on the western edge of Sierra Madre. Beautiful home with a spectacular pool, half in the sun and the other half covered with these massive trees. We called one end the Riviera and the other the Lagoon. I have to wonder about how much those trees affected the fire. He lives, lived, on the upper most street fronting the foothills...there was nothing but forest behind his house. From what I understand it was gone in an instant. Mother nature can be a nasty b*tch.
