After 51 games, we sit with 61 points. We are 26-12-6 after our bad 1-5-1 start.

Last year after 51 games we had 48 points. And we then went 0-4-1 to end the season.

The roster moves made this offseason have worked. I don't understand why we're paying AA $2.75 million, but it's not my money and we have no cap concerns, so whatever.

If our special teams were in the top half of the league, this team would really be something.

TM gives us reasons to complain, but let's face it, overall he has done a pretty good job. 3 out of our 4 lines work. You all know which one doesn't. Hopefully that isn't an issue next season.

Blake -- who I still boo in spirit -- is doing a good job. If he doesn't re-sign Brown, I'll give him an "A".

Im definitely looking forward to an end of year thread when we get to see how the Kings finish out the season (and hopefully playoffs). I think no matter what though, the Arvidsson and Danault moves have fit like a glove, and there's going to be some serious crow served up to end the year.

He has only played in 19 games between injury and COVID, but despite having to come back from those and being rusty each time, he has 5 goals in those 19 games. That's a 21-goal pace over a season. Well worth $2.75M.

There certainly has been a lot more spunkiness to their overall game.

i agree. And fwiw, i feel like he's been better than expected since he's been with the Kings. It's unfortunate that this season was basically lost due to covid/injury.

Im just so happy we dont suck at the moment and i look forward to every game.

I am very happy with the growth and improvement of the LA Kings so far this season! But, as Mr Wolf said in Pulp Fiction.......

Improvement? Yes, absolutely, and I'm enjoying it. However, that said, I'd like to know what has happened to Kopitar to cause so many defensive gaffs this season. Anyone?

Do you mean, "well, let's not start . . . . yet"?

I'll be the first one to eat crow for my earlier season comments about this team's failures. It's certainly been a breath of fresh air. The team chemistry is off the charts. Just need more production from the back-end. Only wish Drew never got injured because the team would've been higher in the standings and he could've competed possibly for the Norris this year.

Regardless of time missed he should still be up for the Norris, he's been outstanding.

Without the injury, I bet Durzi never gets an audition. That time was also when Mikey and Toby played some of their best hockey. In the short term, we would be better off if Drew was not injured. but in the long term, it will end up being a plus. We really got to see what we had in the prospects.

For all the bitching and nitpicking I don't know why anybody would go after AA, when there's Olli maatta Dustin Brown

That this team finally has the makings of an identity again is my biggest surprise of the season. Still quietish but the overall personality is getting there. Never seem Juice this excited on the ice either.

Interesting conclusion about Drew. It's possible that we'd be higher, but one person shouldn't make a whole lot of difference in a team's success. There's no I in TEAM.
